This 2022 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a blend of estate-grown fruit from Peay’s certified organic vineyard located just four miles from the Pacific Ocean, perched above a coastal ridge in the far northwestern reaches of Sonoma County. The cool, fog-laden climate and rocky marine soils yield a wine of vivid tension and depth. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in a restrained percentage of new French oak, the wine emphasizes nuance over power. It opens with aromas of crushed raspberries, blood orange, tea leaf, and damp earth, followed by a palate that balances red fruit vibrancy with savory complexity. The texture is lithe and polished, with integrated tannins and brisk acidity giving it both elegance and ageability.

Minimal intervention is central to Peay's winemaking philosophy, preserving the clarity of the site’s expression. This Pinot Noir pairs seamlessly with dishes like seared duck breast, wild mushroom risotto, or roast salmon, thanks to its precision and aromatic lift.
