The winery is located in the municipality of Göttlesbrunn in the Carnuntum wine-growing region of Lower Austria. Walter Glatzer is one of the rising stars and co-founders of the so-called "red wine miracle" in the region. The vineyards cover 30 hectares in the Altenberg and Haidacker vineyards. The red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, St. Laurent and Merlot make up 75% of the vineyards, while the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc make up 25%. Grapes from a further 30 hectares are purchased from contract winegrowers.
The red wines are fermented on the skins in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is then carried out in wooden barrels or in barriques and then the wines are aged in different oak barrels according to the vineyard parcel. The white wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks for varietal typicity and are stored for a long time on the fine lees. The premium wines include the brand "Dornenvogel" (a red wine made from Zweigelt, a white wine from Grüner Veltliner), "Rubin Carnuntum" (Zweigelt), Sauvignon Blanc Altenberg and the red wine cuvée "Gotinsprun" (Blaufränkisch, Syrah, Merlot, Zweigelt), named after an old name of Göttlesbrunn. About 2500,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. The winery is a member of the winegrowers' associations Rubin Carnuntum Weingüter and Traditionsweingüter Österreich.
