This entry is elegant, fine and racey. The palate is fat, long and powerful. It is very fresh and onctuous in the mouth, this reveals sweetness is perfectly balanced by acidity. Ends with a lingering finish. This is a wine with plenty of expression.

      ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

The Donissan family Citran ruled this former manor Médoc dice 13 th century, until 1832, when the last heir was obliged to cede the field to Mr. Clauzel. This ambitious businessman then drew the current contours of the property and propelled it to the forefront of the Bordeaux scene.

The Miailhe family bought the property in 1945 and undertook the restoration of the premises until 1987. Then, a Japanese group acquired the estate and again began a series of major works. It is the resurrection of a grand cru from the Médoc!

It was not until 1996 that the Merlaut family, already very involved in Bordeaux wine life, took the reins of Citran. The owners are now working on the development of the estate while ensuring respect for its history and its free breathing. The castle has been listed as a historical monument since 2012.
