One of the few cru bourgeois in the Premieres Cotes de Blaye, Chateau Peybonhomme-les-Tours borders the Gironde estuary with delightful views of the shipping lanes and Margaux and St. Julien beyond. Named for the hillock once under the control of the Albigensians, the estate has been recognized for making fine wine since the middle of the 18th century. The current owner, Jean-Luc Hubert, manages some 60 hectares with an average production of 35,000 cases per year.
